Coffee Brands

Many people who don't drink coffee regularly would say that there is no such thing as any real “type” of coffee. Coffee drinkers who can distinguish one type of coffee or another, are known as coffee snobs and are delusional. Many other people who do drink a lot of coffee but only drink a store bought brand are hesitant to pledge their allegiance to any particular coffee brand. Coffee is coffee, they would probably say. However the more refined (read:ADDICTED) coffee drinkers in the world; those who treat coffee not as some bucket of sludge that we obligatorily fill up our canteens with every day, but rather a sensory experience that ranges and varies widely from a smooth even toned a mild blend to a spicy South American coffee to a bold and smooth Italian blend; there really is a difference. It can be tasted, maybe because we drink the coffee too much, but it is the fact that it's there is a difference between not only brands of coffee but blends of coffee.

If you're interested in different brands of coffee, you should look and see what the coffees are all about. Unfortunately for you in the store, he can't just open up and have a taste. However, many times in coffee shops, the proprietors of the shops will sample out a different blend of coffee to give people an idea of what that blend is like. If you only buy your coffee in the grocery store, and you are attentive at these coffee tastings at the coffee shops, you can often assimilate the blend you tasted it with the blend that is in the store.

If you are curious about different means of coffee brands, those really shouldn't matter so much as the type of bean is being brewed. Bean type is fairly consistent across the board and even if you may think that one type of coffee or another is “better” than another, I challenge you to a blind taste test of a like bean type. I don't think you can do it, and I don't think I could either.

If you are interested in coffee brands though, you can try Metro brand coffee. This is allegedly a brand of coffee for the busy, bustling metropolitan worker who just wants their morning jolt of coffee. Folgers coffee is another coffee brand name which is very popular. What are they drinking at the White House these days? Why, I bet they're drinking the presidential brand coffee! Another new one that I've never heard of before is called Squirrel brand coffee.

If you are interested in ranking, a simple search engines search will determine the top five coffee brands in a top-selling brand coffees that are available in stores. But your coffee brand should be more than just a name, because after all, what is in a name?
