Espresso

Espresso is not coffee. Though they both come in a bean form espresso is of a decidedly thicker consistency than coffee and comes in “shot” form. A shot of espresso has three parts to it; the heart, the body, and the crema. A shot of espresso is very small (2oz approx) and is typically enjoyed as a component to drinks such as lattes and mochas. Sometimes you’ll find espresso come up solely or in multiple shot forms as a solo, doppio, triple, or quad shot variety; sometimes it will be served with steamed milk or foam; sometimes it’s served with whipped cream.

Espresso machines are available for home use as well; if you choose not to get your espresso drinks from a café. In terms of the best coffee and espresso maker it certainly depends on your needs. If you use a coffee machine every day and did you enjoy espresso often enough, then a coffee and espresso machine should be of high enough quality that it will be able to tolerate such use. However, if you only use you are a coffee and espresso machine once in a while, you may be able to get away with a little bit lesser quality machine or a higher-quality machine that can stand not being used as regularly. If you don't use your coffee and espresso machine regularly enough, it's always a good idea to run water through the machine once in awhile. Running water through your coffee and espresso machine will help keep things from freezing up and will assure that you are coffee and espresso machine is usable when you need it.
